Islandic "Stúdentspróf" certificate (high school matriculation) or equivalent secondary school certificate. Mature students (over 25 yrs) are required to have finished 60 credits at secondary school level and have appropriate work experience. Applicants not satifying the requirements can pass an examination after attending a one year preliminary studies program. For equine Science program, applicants need at least 65 credits (130 ECTS) from a secondary school, sufficient riding experience and they must have reached 18 years of age and good understanding of the Icelandic language.
